Frequently Asked Questions
The Questions Everyone Asks (And Some You Probably Should)
"How do I know if you're the right fit for my company?"
The honest answer: You probably are if you're a B2B SaaS company with a complex product that prospects struggle to understand, you're spending money on marketing without clear ROI, or your sales team keeps asking "what does marketing actually do?"
You're definitely not a fit if: You already have clear messaging that converts well, your marketing ROI is predictable and scalable, or you prefer to keep doing things the way you've always done them.
Best way to find out: Book a 30-minute strategy session and we'll figure it out together.
"I've never worked with a consultant before. What's it actually like?"
Think of me as a temporary team member who happens to have done this 100+ times before. I embed with your team, use your tools, attend your meetings, and work toward your goals. The main difference is I bring frameworks and experience that would take years to develop internally.
What it's not: Some guy in a suit who shows up, tells you what you already know, charges a fortune, and disappears.
"Can you guarantee specific results?"
Here's what I can guarantee: You'll get proven frameworks, dedicated expertise, and measurable improvements in your marketing systems. I also offer a 90-day results guarantee — if you don't see measurable improvement, I'll work with you for free until you do.
What I can't guarantee: That you'll suddenly become the next Salesforce. Results depend on market conditions, product quality, team execution, and about 47 other variables I don't control.
"What if we need to pause or cancel the project?"
Life happens, priorities change, budgets shift. I'm flexible with timeline adjustments and can pause/resume projects based on your business needs. I'd rather work with you when the timing is right than force something that doesn't make sense.
"Which service do I need?"
Depends on your biggest pain point right now:
Prospects don't understand your product → Technical-to-Human Translation
Marketing feels random and disconnected → GTM Systems Architecture
You're launching something important → Launch Strategy & Execution
You sound like every competitor → Competitive Positioning & Messaging
Teams work in silos → Cross-Functional Leadership
Manual tasks are killing productivity → AI Automation & Workflow Engineering
Still not sure? Book a strategy session and I'll help you prioritize.
"Can you just fix our website copy?"
I could, but that's probably not your real problem. Website copy is usually a symptom of unclear positioning, confused messaging, or misaligned teams. I'd rather solve the root cause so your website (and everything else) works better long-term.
"Do you write content like blog posts and social media?"
Not really. I create the strategic frameworks and messaging architecture that your team (or a content agency) can use to create consistent, effective content. I'm more about teaching you to fish than giving you a fish.
"Can you manage our Google Ads or social media campaigns?"
I can set them up and optimize them strategically, but I'm not a day-to-day campaign manager. I focus on the positioning, messaging, and systems that make all your marketing more effective. If you need ongoing campaign management, I can recommend some great agencies.
"Your prices seem high. Can you work for less?"
Let's talk about value, not price. If my work increases your pipeline by 50% (which it typically does), what's that worth to your business? Most clients see ROI within 90 - 120 days and consider the investment one of their best business decisions.
That said, I'm flexible for interesting problems and growing companies. Sometimes we can find creative approaches that fit your budget.
"Can we start with something smaller to test working together?"
Absolutely. Many clients start with positioning projects, sales enablement, or automation builds before moving to larger strategic engagements. It's a great way to see how we work together.
"Do you offer payment plans?"
Yes, especially for longer engagements. We can structure payments based on milestones, monthly installments, or whatever works for your cash flow.
"What's included in your pricing?"
Everything needed to deliver results: strategy development, framework creation, team training, ongoing support during the engagement, and free analytics setup. No hidden fees, no scope creep charges, no surprise invoices.
"Do you only work with SaaS companies?"
Mostly, but not exclusively. I work best with B2B companies that have complex products, technical audiences, or sophisticated sales processes. If that describes you, we should talk regardless of your exact industry.
"Are you religious? Will that affect our work?"
I operate under a Christian worldview, which means I prioritize integrity, honesty, and treating people well. It doesn't mean I push my beliefs on anyone or let it interfere with business decisions. Most clients appreciate the ethical foundation it provides.
"How hands-on are you vs. just giving advice?"
Very hands-on. I don't just tell you what to do — I build it with you. Whether that's creating dashboards, writing sales scripts, setting up automations, or training your team, I roll up my sleeves and get tactical.
"Will you work with our existing team or do we need new people?"
I work with your existing team and help them become more effective. Part of my job is knowledge transfer, so your team learns while we work together. You don't need to hire anyone new.
"How much of our time will this require?"
Less than you think. Most projects require 2-4 hours per week from key stakeholders. I do the heavy lifting; you provide context, feedback, and decision-making.
"What tools do you use?"
Whatever you're already using, plus some specialized ones. I adapt to your tech stack rather than forcing you to change. For automation and analytics, I bring expertise in tools you might not have considered.
"How quickly will we see results?"
Quick wins usually happen within 2-4 weeks (better messaging, improved processes, automated workflows). Significant business impact typically shows up in 2-3 months (pipeline increases, conversion improvements, team efficiency gains).
"What if our team is skeptical about working with a consultant?"
Skepticism is healthy. I've worked with plenty of teams who'd been burned by consultants before. I win people over by delivering value quickly, being transparent about what I'm doing, and treating everyone with respect.
My approach: Under-promise and over-deliver, then let the results speak for themselves.
"How do you measure success?"
Every engagement includes specific success metrics defined upfront. These are usually business outcomes like pipeline growth, conversion rate improvements, or efficiency gains. I track what matters to your business, not just marketing vanity metrics.
"What happens after our project ends?"
You'll have frameworks, systems, and knowledge to continue improving without me. I also provide ongoing support for questions and can help with future projects as you grow. Many clients become long-term partners.
"Do you work with companies outside the US?"
Absolutely. I work with companies globally and am comfortable with different time zones, communication styles, and business practices. Good marketing principles work everywhere.
"Do you sign NDAs?"
Of course. Your business information stays confidential, and I'm happy to sign reasonable legal agreements.
"Can you provide references?"
Yes, though I prefer you review my case studies first. If you want to speak with past clients directly, I can make introductions to people who've agreed to serve as references.
"What if we're not happy with the work?"
Tell me immediately so I can fix it. I'd rather address concerns early than have an unhappy client. If we truly can't resolve issues, I'll refund unused portions of your investment.
"What are you not good at?"
I'm terrible at: Pretending to be excited about boring projects, working with people who don't actually want to change, tolerating red-flag behavior, and anything that requires patience for bureaucracy.
I'm also not: A graphic designer, a copywriter, a campaign manager, or someone who will just tell you what you want to hear.
"What kind of clients do you not want to work with?"
Companies that: Aren't willing to change how they do things, want someone to blame when things don't work, treat consultants like order-takers, or have unrealistic expectations about timelines and results.
People who: Don't communicate clearly, ghost consultants mid-project, or think they can DIY everything after getting initial advice.
"What's the worst thing that could happen if we work together?"
Realistic worst case: We discover your product needs fundamental changes before marketing can be effective, your market isn't ready for your solution, or your team isn't aligned enough to execute well. All solvable problems, but potentially expensive discoveries.
My job: Identify these issues early and help you address them rather than pretending they don't exist.
Still Have Questions?
The Answer Probably Is: "Let's Talk"
Most questions are really about fit, timeline, and approach — things we can figure out in a 30-minute conversation better than through FAQ reading.
